"This early 1960’s Trixon drum kit owned and used by Noel
Redding of the Jimi Hendrix Experience!! I know what you are
thinking,”Hey, Noel was the bass player!”, or words to that effect!
Actually, although Noel started out as a guitarist in the early days, (The
Burnettes, the Loving Kind ..), this drum kit has always been around,
and Noel can, in fact, play drums a little. Being talented, he plays
great bass, guitar, banjo, and anything you care to put in front of him,
guitar being the favourite.
This Trixon drum set stood in Noel’s house with the guitars and amps,
ready for jamming and rehearsals until 1999, when we bought it. It is in
reasonable condition, considering the age (almost 40 years), and could
be re-commissioned with new heads, etc, to be a very usable vintage drum
kit. These drums went to Hamburg in the Beat-boom with Noel. Historic!"
