Hello,
I recently picked up a Trixon, (of course)Luxor kit. It was complete except for the floor tom bottom lugs and hoop.
Earlier that same week, I picked up what I thought were Japanese drums, covered in red velvet. The price was right, $25 bucks, and the drums were two 20 inch basses, a Star snare, and the 16 floor tom.
The drums were all Japanese, but the floor tom was a Trixon, in a black lacquer. The badge is bigger than the Luxor set, and the plastic lug casings are black instead of the grey as on the Luxor kit.
It is pretty weird to even see Trixon here in Southern Indiana, not at least two!
When did Trixon use the different colored lug casings?
Why is the orphan floor tom badge bigger than the Luxor kits'?
By the way, on the Gold Sparkle kit, there are adhesive tags by the air holes stating 'Made in Germany'.
